Paul Pouchol (1904-1963) was a Parisian painter, ceramist, and an important influence on Pol Chambost and Georges Jouve. Pouchol opened his own ceramics studio in Paris in 1942. He frequently collaborated with French architects and designers; most notably the Compagnie des Arts Français, directed by Jacques Adnet from 1935-1955.
