Stig Lindberg (1916, Sweden – 1982, Italy) was one of the outstanding designers of postwar Sweden. His playful take on modernism encompassed many mediums including ceramics, textiles, illustrations, and the newly invented television. Lindberg collaborated in developing art ceramics with Wilhelm Kåge and Bernt Friberg at Gustavsberg Studio, succeeding Kåge as art director in 1949.
